Sat. April 5: Tacky Wedding Party at Elk’s

tacky wedding

Costume and theme parties are a lot of fun and can give you a chance to be creative with clothes you have, outfits borrowed, or something found locally at an affordable price. After all, these kinds of parties are one of the few times in life (besides Halloween) where you can get away with dressing in crazy costumes, and convincing your friends to do the same. The Family Refuge Center is inviting you all to dress in tacky wedding attire for their amusing fundraising event called The Tacky Wedding Party. It will be held at the Elk’s Country Club in Lewisburg, WV on April 5th from 7-11pm.

Whether you’re a bride, bridesmaid, groomsman, father or mother of the bride, etc. you’re encouraged to come dressed in the tackiest wedding outfit you can find. The more ridiculous the better as prizes will be awarded for “tackiest” wedding attire.
Tickets are $15 and $20 for a pair. You’ll enjoy good company, food, drinks, and DJ Shady. If you need an outfit, Cecilia’s Bridal and Formal Wear is teamed up with this event to provide you with special (outdated stock) dress selection at a reasonable rate. Find Cecilia’s on page 10 and facebook to stay updated with their “tacky” dress selection as this will be promoting these outfits throughout the month of March.
Tickets for this event may be purchased through any staff member at the Family Refuge Center office located on 213 S. Jefferson St in Lewisburg. Call 304-645-6334 to request tickets. Photo source: thewrap.com
