Join in on the fun for downtown Lewisburg’s First Fridays after Five on Friday, October 2nd,. There will be plentiful music, giveaways, food/wine tastings, and events for all ages. Everyone is welcome!

Stop by the Greenbrier Valley Visitor’s Center for an evening of music, art, and education. The Visitor’s Center welcomes Greenbrier County Schools as they feature some Classroom of Today initiatives, led by Greenbrier County’s Teacher of the Year and WV Teacher of the Year Finalist, Kevin Warfield and his Project Lead the Way students. Mr. Warfield and his engineering students partner with e-NABLE to fabricate and supply 3D printed prosthetic hands for children in need. See a demonstration of the printing and assembly of a Raptor Hand using 3D printer technology. In honor of the upcoming Taste of Our Towns event, The Greenbrier Artists premiere “Artistic Taste”, a collection of food related paintings. To top off the evening’s fun, Strum Sum Band will provide toe-tapping tunes. 200 W. Washington Street, 645-1000.

Plants Etc. hosts “Tarot for the Soul”, free tarot readings by Christen McCormack. 102 South Jefferson Street, 645-6910.

Harmony Ridge Gallery joins this year’s American Craft Week Celebration from October 2nd thru 11th in downtown Lewisburg with a jewelry trunk show by Artist Shari Dixon. This national event kicks off on First Friday and brings together galleries, artists’ studios, festivals and art institutions across the country in recognition of American Handmade Objects. 209 W. The Greenbrier Historical Society and the North House Museum invite you to a Graveyard Tour in the Old Stone Church Cemetery and the Pointer Cemetery. Walk among the graves in these two cemeteries and listen to the captivating stories of historic Lewisburg townsfolk where they are laid to rest. Local community actors will portray these townsfolk and tell their stories. The first tour is at 5:30pm and the second tour is at 6pm. 301 W. Washington Street, 645-3398.

First Fridays after 5 takes place all year long in downtown Lewisburg with shops, galleries and restaurants in downtown Lewisburg open until 9pm serving complimentary refreshments and entertainment, sponsored by City National Bank. Downtown Lewisburg, America’s Coolest Small Town, is just 1 mile south of I-64 via exit 169. The town center is located at Washington Street (I-60) and Jefferson Street (Rt. 219).
