A Woman, a Voice, & a Life in-Between – Warm Weather

I’m pretty sure I’m responsible for the unseasonably warm weather we’ve been having. I bought my first all-wheel drive vehicle earlier this year, and I just know it’s the reason the temperature outside is almost sixty degrees as we approach mid-December. It reminds me of times as a child when we’d wait at the bus stop for what seemed like ages, but as soon as my mother would light a cigarette the bus would show up. Or, how you can wash and wax your car in the summer and a freak rainstorm will make a mockery of your painstakingly hand-dried wheels within a day. I know a lot of people around here love winter weather, but this is one time when I’m thankful for Murphy’s Law disrupting my best-laid plans. I’d like to get my money’s worth out of my shiny new drivetrain, but I would much rather have it and not need it than vice versa. Now that I’ve discovered my power for weather manipulation, I wonder how I can use it for the greater good. If I’m feeling especially generous in the next week or so, I could rent a convertible and ensure we have a white Christmas. I think that would do it. I’ll confer with Santa and see what I can come up with.
